Andrew F. Lopez, an Associate at Cohen & Cohen, received his undergraduate degree in Journalism and Mass Communications from the University of North Carolina and his J.D. from the Catholic University of America.
Prior to joining Cohen & Cohen, Mr. Lopez was an associate with the Chantilly,
Virginia firm, Property & Estate Law, where he handled dozens of Chapter 7 and 13 consumer bankruptcy cases.
During law school Mr. Lopez spent two years working with the Rockville, Maryland law firm McCarthy Wilson where he focused on insurance defense. Mr. Lopez was also heavily involved in Moot Court during his law school years as both an advocate and coach. A fervent competitor, Mr. Lopez participated in four national and international moot court competitions, garnering recognition for his written and oral advocacy skills.
Mr. Lopez is a member of the Virginia State Bar. He resides in Washington, D.C.
with his wife and is an avid soccer player.
